McCarthy High Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Southwest Ranches, FL…November 17, 2014… Three athletes from Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School along with their families, friends and coaches participated in the November National Letter of Intent signing and luncheon.  During the ceremony Anthony “Tony” Massaro, McCarthy’s Director of Athletics, read the athletes biographies describing each athlete’s accomplishments in their school, and participation in their faith and athletic communities.  The students spoke about their deep appreciation for the support provided by their family and coaches.

The following student athletes signed to the applause and cheers of family, friends, classmates, faculty and administrators:    

  • Christian Demby, of Ft. Lauderdale: Baseball – infielder and pitcher signed to North Carolina State University
  • Jake Anchia, of Pembroke Pines: Baseball – catcher signed to Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida
  • Chris Diaz, of Davie: Lacrosse – defender signed to Belmonte Abbey in North Carolina
